Sarah is the best college admissions guidance counselor in Mexico. I enjoyed working with her towards the improvement and revision of my college essays. Her suggestions were always valuable, helping me to find areas of improvement and suggesting ways to strengthen the message I was trying to convey. Her advice was always on point and she actually introduced me to the Directed Studies program at Yale, which I was invited to and will be starting in the fall. I am truly thankful for her guidance and completely recommend scheduling an appointment with Sarah in order to strengthen your application.
— Isabella (Yale University)
I remember having no idea how I would achieve my dream of going to college in the US. I did not know where to apply, and even worse, I did not know how. With nowhere to look for answers and no one to ask for help, I felt lost. That was until I heard about Ms. Sarah Loring, an American college counselor who lived on the other side of Mexico. It took no longer than a 20-minute Skype call to know that working alongside Sarah would put me on the right track to succeed. Lo and behold, Sarah was the best mentor and guide I could ever ask for. Sarah is exceptionally knowledgeable about numerous universities around the nation, as well as incredibly organized and considerate. From figuring out my interests to submitting my final application, Sarah assisted me every step of the way. She gave me all the tools I needed to curate a college list, carefully assess my options, and make the best decision. As a result, I have had the best three years of my life in college, full of valuable knowledge, lifelong relationships, and unforgettable experiences. I am now interning for a museum, close to graduating from one of the best universities in America, and with a world of possibilities ahead of me. Nonetheless, it is safe to say that I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for Sarah”s outstanding guidance and support. Thank you, Sarah.
— Andres (Tulane University)
Working with Sarah was a great decision. Her comments were always constructive and supportive. She was honest and was willing to help with any questions or doubts I had. As I worked with Sarah for my master’s applications, she helped me communicate my ideas with my own voice. When talking about my essays and application materials, she gave me confidence and made the experience really encouraging. I am delighted to accept Georgetown’s offer for my Masters, and I thank Sarah for her guidance and sincere support.
— Juanita (Georgetown University)
Sarah played a fundamental role in my college application process and working with her was definitely the best choice. After a couple of gatherings of simply becoming acquainted with me, Sarah made me feel confident that I was applying to schools based on what I like and want. Applying to schools appears like a tedious and extreme procedure, yet Sarah made my process feel like another walk in the park. Her extended knowledge of colleges in the US, alongside the customized consideration that she provides for each of her students, achieves the best outcomes in coordinating anybody with a school that is the right fit for them. Sarah is a standout amongst the most dedicated school guides out there. She goes well beyond to teach Mexican students about colleges to open up their eyes about the potential outcomes in their future. Thanks to her I found a new home at my dream school: NYU Shanghai. She made me believe in myself.
— Anthony (NYU Shanghai)
Applying to college as an international student is a big challenge, even more so applying from a non-American high school. When I first decided to pursue a business education in the United States, I felt completely insecure, scared, and alone upon confronting such a daunting task. Thanks to a friend’s recommendation, I luckily met Sarah and decided to enroll in her college counseling program. From choosing a career to narrowing my school choices to revising my essays, Sarah took an essential role of support in my college application process. Sarah proved to be an incredibly wise, experienced, and capable counselor but furthermore, incredibly passionate and supportive. Through all the hard work, important decisions, failures and successes, Sarah was an extremely important role player and capable counsel, but most importantly a close friend and a caring companion one must have in undertaking this journey. I am very grateful for having worked with Sarah and I am confident she will continue to inspire and fulfill students’ educational goals.
— Jorge (University of Texas at Austin)
Sarah Loring is the best consultant I could have found to support me with my master’s application. She is not only a professional and respectful person, but also someone empathetic, who knows how to motivate you in order to obtain the best possible results. I am very grateful to have found Sarah on this journey, who at all times listened to me and provided me with recommendations that helped me to calm down and be confident in the face of every doubt that arose. I recommend her completely, taking into account that she will not do the work for you, but she will help you learn and above all to understand the best way to carry out this type of assignment.
— Gustavo (Yale University)
Sarah’s advice on the essay totally helped me a lot. The essay was used for a variety of programs and it allowed me to get four acceptances with great academic scholarships offered. Her suggestion to take the ACT motivated me to take it, and I found that it was much easier than the SAT and highlighted my strengths much more! I got a perfect score on one of my strongest fields! Thank you so much Sarah for your comments and suggestions!

Applying to college is a very long process, but it never felt like that because everything was broken down into little steps. I never felt like we were rushing. I had the tranquility that I was never going to miss a deadline because Sarah always made sure that everything was done on time. Sometimes it was hard for me to put my experiences into the essays but Sarah helped me do that by asking questions and listening. I never felt like I was putting words that were not mine or that I was being forced to write something which was not really true just to look good on an application. It was always my voice, but Sarah really helped me express it. I really enjoyed working with Sarah. She is an amazing college counselor and as a person she is really sweet and easy to talk to.
— Teresa (Northwestern University)
I was able to feel more confident about my application process, and working with Sarah helped me express my thoughts better in writing.

I love that you showed her college options that she never would have known about!
— Kathy, Olivia's Grandmother (Union College, NY)
Working with was Sarah was an incredibly fun learning experience where I was able to improve my skills as a writer and ensure that my voice resonated through my essays. What I enjoyed most was that she did not once tell me what to write, but rather, she helped me find my voice in order to tell my own stories. Thanks in large part to Sarah’s help, I am now incredibly excited to begin my undergraduate career at UC Berkeley.
— Andres (University of California at Berkeley)
Looking back on my college application process, working with Sarah was definitely the best decision. Sarah is a college counselor that goes beyond books and rankings to find the perfect fit for you. After a few meetings of just getting to know me, Sarah made me feel confident that I was applying to colleges that not only appealed to what I was looking for in academics, location, and size, but environment, people, teachers, etc. Applying to college seems like a long and tough process, yet Sarah made my process feel like an amazing beginning to a new journey. The first semester of 12th grade tends to be a busy and heavy semester. However, with the schedule that Sarah and I put together, it allowed me to manage my time wisely and complete my tasks with no hurry.
— Maria (University of Notre Dame)

Sarah, I would like to thank you for this experience. Even though it didn’t end up the way I expected it to, it was a process full of learning, and you always tried to guide me through the right path. At the end of the day, we have to recognize our mistakes and enrich ourselves from these types of experiences, just as it is important to accept whatever destiny has prepared for each one of us. Personally, I sure have learned to do both during this process.

Sarah is a great College Counselor and even an amazing personal advisor. As a prospective transfer student from ITESM, I thought I had all my application process clear, as well as my decisions as to which colleges I would apply. Friends from ASFM recommended Sarah Loring as a key person to help me with my application process. The first time we met, I realized I actually knew nothing about the important factors of an application, and I had a really narrow view of the best colleges for me. I remember the first thing she asked was, “What is a typical day for you?” I told her a brief story of the things I value, the kind of sports I like to play, my academic interests, just a basic overview of my lifestyle; to my surprise, she did not hesitate to recommend Claremont McKenna College, which I had never heard of before. I honestly was not so optimistic about applying to CMC, but thanks to Sarah’s guidance in my application (most importantly in reviewing my essays I believe), I got admitted! When I visited CMC, I understood Sarah’s recommendation, and actually felt like that is the place for me. I am really grateful to Sarah. I felt like my application process turned into a self-discovery process, and I can’t wait to see what a typical day at CMC will be!
— Fernanda (Claremont McKenna College)
It was a good experience overall, a bit costly but there was always communication and Sarah knows her stuff well!
